This is not an especially big Mazis but there is solid balance and a sense of underlying harmony of expression. (90 93) 2015+

The 2001 is still quite young and appears to have a bright future

The palate mixes that chalky minerality with the juiciness of the Garnacha

herbal tea and sauvage-scented nose of red and dark pinot fruit to shine

elegant and refined

wild flowers and mint are some of the many notes that are laced together

Full and broad on the palate

There is excellent underlying tension to the beautifully textured medium weight flavors that also brim with sappy dry extract and minerality

firmish but well integrated tannins and minerally freshness

but slightly underwhelming considering the provenance
