With satanic chimneys belching smoke and cobbles awash with industrial grime, the period drama brought hellish industrial UK into our living rooms but did it with an admirable swagger and aesthetic genius. The anomaly of Peaky Blinders is that

This is a working town that doubles up inadvertently as a one stop film set

It is perfectly acceptable for some of those ladies to also have disposable moral fibre

it gave the narrative a cohesive balance that would not perhaps work if we had a beautiful day

We delayed releasing this image because I wasn’t really sure what to write - it was such a surreal few minutes and it took time for it all to sink in
