Tliltocatl verdezi 3/4”size 3 4 Described in 2003 by Dr. Gnter Schmidt in honor of Jean Michel Verdez who was the first to consider this a new Brachypelma (Tliltocatl now) species. At the time at his species was often confused with Aphonopelma pallidum. Easy to keep species that grows to 5 as adults. A terrestrial spider from Mexico that is often over looked by collectors.

for people who don’t have the patience to grow out a spider for year

However they were recently examined by Germany’s Theraphosid Research Team and determined that they are indeed Thrixopelma pruriens

This small terrestrial species reaches about 4 inches as adults

There’s is some controversy about how much this species likes to “swim” as I’ve heard for years how much they love the water

however in my experience there was quite a bit of cannibalism

Everyone’s favorite brown spider

I honestly don’t know why anyone would even want one

it was soon coined as the LSD tarantula for its trippy colors

Drosophila melanogaster fruit flies will be needed to start with

but probably become addicted
