Grandes Jorasses Soft Pastel PaintingMy latest painting, part of my "Mountain Tops" Series, is the Grandes Jorasses. I am representing it with the last rays of sun on the top of the mountain, and variety of colours in the darker tones in the bottom. It depicts lots of hanging glaciers, which are retracting, thanks to climate change. This majestic mountain, is part of the Monte Bianco Massif, and divides the Aosta Valley in Italy, with the Haute Savoie Department in France. I have used
