Hardy Perfect 2 7/8" Fly Reel and Spare Spool!For sale here is a 2 7 8" Hardy Perfect with Dup. MKII check and spare spool. All original and correct. Full length ribbed brass foot. Ebonite handle spins freely. Rim tensioner works perfectly. No cracks, dings or corrosion. Very small amount of spindle play, but nothing serious. This is a great fishing reel.

Serial number FW248222 which dates the rod to 1983

Marked with a "19" on both frame and spool

Cosmetically and functionally the reel is in original and stellar condition

The Cardells were close friends with the Youngs and this rod was made in 1953 for Paul Cardell

The still-wrapped cigar cork grip has a tiny gouge from one of the guides impacting it at some point

Nice and tight spring and the tensioner works perfectly throughout its range

It's been spooled with line and backing but there is no evidence of use

so don't miss this opportunity to acquire an unused one with the even more hard to find white handle
