The hackamore combi is a jaw piece with leverage and gives pressure on the nose, chin, and mouth. The longer the shanks of the hackamore, the stronger the effect. This, combined with long shanks, has a sharper effect than the short hackamore combi. These bits are often used with very enthusiastic horses on the trail. Due to the leverage, this is a fairly sharp bit and therefore not suitable
