Orvis "Traveler" Bamboo Rod 8' 4/2For sale here is an 8 foot Orvis Traveler bamboo rod. This is an extremely scarce model made by Orvis in the early 1960s and only offered for a few years. This rod is the most desirable eight foot length model that is intended for a 7 (possibly 8) weight line. The rod weighs 4 3 4 oz. The Traveler model rod was the first of its kind to be intended especially for the traveling, fly fishing businessman. The rod remains in excellent++ to near mint

and the reel seat boasts the small "wedding band" slide ring
