JW Young 3" Fly ReelFor sale here is a 3" Pattern 1 trout fly reel made by JW Young for Carter & Co. Nice leaded finish. Solid and tight fixed check. Gear teeth and pawl still retain their sharpness. No wobble and a small amount of end play. Full length smooth brass foot. Ivorine handle in fine condition and spins freely. Spool retaining screw in excellent shape. Comes with silk line shown. This is a very nice old Young trout reel and solid mechanically. Weighs 5. 8 oz.
