a giant of a wine that smashes your palate with sweet fruit and nearly tears it apart

you cannot deny its power and its breeding

mint and licorice come together in this complete Cabernet

and flavor dimension not tasting heavy

it's clear that the two bottles opened at that tasting were not representative

The 2013 Vintage Port is part of our mini-vertical this issue

This is aromatically riper than the Chambertin though that is not especially surprising

Maybe it will surprise us in the end

This superb wine does a slow build from the mid-palate on back to the massively deep finale

Interestingly

The well-delineated and punchy middle weight flavors possess ample richness as well as very good volume before concluding in a slightly more powerful and complex finale
