Double Thermoplastic Union Case Patented 1856–1857, Note Crack To One ImagePair of antique 1 9th plate ruby ambrotype photographs depicting a chubby young girl and an older woman, possibly mother and daughter. Presented together in a double thermoplastic Union case by Littlefield, Parsons & Co., patented 1856 and 1857, with original velvet interior. The photograph of the older woman is cracked in half through the center. Case exhibits light wear and scuffing consistent with age and handling.
