It looks to me like it is on early photograph paper attached to a cardboard type backing. It measures 8 by 10 inches. It is signed Madame Recamier on one side and the other side is signed Mdme Recamier (David) . It is black and white and is an original from the late 1800's. The board has some chips and wear around the edges as photographed and the photo paper

I am not sure what wood it is made of but it is gorgeous
