Haemanthus pauculifoliusHaemanthus is an interesting plant to add to your collection. Especially if you're into soft fuzzy plants. They usually keep just a couple of their fuzzy flat leaves. This Haemanthus has a beautiful white bloom. They typically bloom around late Summer to early Fall. This plant will go through a slight dormancy period, and don't need to be watered as frequent. Do not panic if you lose leaves during their dormancy period, the leaves will come back

so please be careful with how often you are watering

Because they do like as much filtered light as they can get

producing long

giving them an attractive contrast

open mix (such as fine bark with perlite or similar) or mount the plant if desired

This plant is absolutely stunning when it turns bright red

but allow them to “dry slightly” in between

Hydnophytum formicarum is well-suited to indoor environments where humidity can be controlled

but a nice bright light will cause them to blush with darker colors

but their growth is very different from other Schlumbergera

It is amazing we have been able to see this plant produced for horticulture
