culminating in a slightly austere and ever-so-mildly dry finish of solid though not exceptional persistence
it would be fair to say that it's not subtle
potpourri and mint to go with a full-bodied
it's splitting hairs at this level
but loads of structure and minerality

resinous element that will surely surface over the next decade or so
Mugnier made first-rate '98s and the Amoureuses is one of the clear successes of the vintage with its higly expressive and wonderfully complex nose that has gone secondary yet remains quite fresh
