There is good richness and volume to the punchy but not especially elegant flavors that terminate in a lingering finish where a hint of bitter cherry pit character slowly emerges
This wine spoke to me
The wines are made with native yeasts and see fairly low levels of new oak
the underlying material appears to be very promising
though the nose is still a bit shy
(from Le Corton in Aloxe)
There is good density to the supple
pure and ultra-floral suffused nose of various citrus
be sure to give it a thorough aeration
(75+ year old vines aged in 50% new oak and 50% in one year old oak
which fermented in open wooden vats for 10-12 days and aged in French oak barrel for 14 months
