ABOUT THE ART

She proudly wears the yellow and blue flag of her country, and crushes, with each of her steps, the Russian tanks that are in her path. On the day after Christmas, Seth Globepainter brings back to life this determined little girl who seems to single-handedly embody the resistance of an entire people.

The jets of paint from her aerosol can are as precise as her brush stroke and, quickly, “Ukraine on the Move” once again adorns this wall on rue Buot, in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, where she was first born time on February 27, 2022, three days after the start of the Russian offensive. “That day, I took to the street without thinking, as if it were obvious,” remembers the street artist. "I have been to Ukraine several times, and I wanted to show its inhabitants that they were not forgotten."

ARTIST BIO

In the mid-90s, Julien Malland begins mural painting in the 20th arrondissement of Paris under the name of Seth. He makes himself known among Parisian graffiti artists by creating characters. A graduate from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs from Paris (ENSAD), he publishes in 2000, in collaboration with Gauthier Bischoff, Kapital, One Year of Graffiti in Paris, the best selling book about French graffiti.

Together, they founded Wasted Talent, a publisher specializing in monographs from urban artists.Since 2003, he has ventured across the world in order to exchange with street artists from different culture, and broaden his own perspective on life and mural painting. Since then, he has been compelled to draw simple characters, mostly children, somehow connected to the chaotic environment in which they are revealed.

Witnessing the outcome of globalization, its creations are celebrating traditions, defining a hybrid culture between modern expression and traditional representation. His approach aims to arouse an artistic dialogue, whether it is a collaboration with local urban artists or a learning process of traditional techniques from local craftsmen. In addition, Seth is the author and director of “Les nouveaux explorateurs“, a TV serial show produced by Canal+ that he presents himself, each show focusing on a country and its local mural artists. His travels during the last two years are narrated in , a book he authored, “Extramuros“.

Comfortable and Easy to Wear Daily
Size: 2 Little Kid, Color: Navy/Blue
My daughter has been wearing these navy/blue shoes since the weather has been less rainy and more sunny. They are great for outdoor play, especially on days when it's warm outside. The knit mesh upper keeps her feet from overheating, and the cushioned insole feels supportive without being stiff. At size 2, the fit is accurate and the width runs a bit roomy, which gave her some growing room without feeling loose. The slip-on design with elastic laces and pull tabs is a real plus. She can get them on and off without any help, which she loves. The shoes are light enough that she barely notices them during long active days. My one small complaint is that the sole feels more like firm foam than rubber, so they can be a little slippery on smooth indoor floors. For the price, these deliver solid everyday value. They look good, hold up well to regular use, and my daughter reaches for them first most mornings. Pros: - Breathable mesh keeps feet cool - Easy slip-on design with elastic laces and pull tabs - Lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear - Accurate sizing with a roomy width - Durable for the price Cons: - Sole can be slippery on hard smooth surfaces - Limited outsole grip compared to rubber-soled shoes

Great kids' shoe — easy on, comfy all day
Size: 3 Little Kid, Color: Pink/Lavender
My kid has been wearing these for a few weeks now and I'm genuinely impressed with how well they've held up. The knit mesh upper keeps feet cool and comfortable during long days at school and outdoor play, and the cushioned EVA midsole does a great job absorbing impact. What really won me over is the slip-on design with elasticated laces and dual pull tabs — my child can put them on and take them off completely independently, which is a huge win. The fit is snug but not tight, and they run a bit roomy in width, which is great for kids with wider feet or those who need a little growing room. At $32, the quality feels solid for the price. Lightweight, breathable, and easy to wear — these check all the boxes for an everyday kids' shoe.
