The knife was, together with the axe, the most important tool in society carried by everyone and utilised daily. The knife has a total length of 19 cm, with a blade of 9 cm. The decorated scabbard is included.

The leg padding is constructed from five layers of linen covered with pieces of wool and an exterior canvas layer

This permitted even better protection for the head whilst retaining its characteristic brim
