These reels were limited in number and made for a Japanese distributor

The rod weighs 1 1/4 oz

this is a very desirable Payne model

"Carlson" is elegantly lettered on the butt section and the rod is wrapped in a handsome green with a keeper and three windaways on the butt section

The reel still functions smoothly and most of the bronzing / lacquer still remains on the reel

The action is medium-fast with of course the well-known parabolic taper
